It's been a while since the last blog post, but the Last Fables team has been keeping busy! We've hit the milestone of 80% completion for the draft of the novel itself, as is reflected in the status tracker update by Play. That represents a total of 330,000 words across 64 chapters, so you understand why I've been busy as the writer. There's still plenty left to do before the book is done, but I'm definitely not the only one who has been busy. Weaver and Play have both been hard at work on the illustrations that will accompany the story; I can't wait until we can show them off! One of the aspects of the art that they've been working on in particular is the overall look of each character. Since Last Fables is our own creation, Play and Weaver are the only sources of official art, which means that they've spent quite a lot of time ensuring that our protagonists appear right no matter what angle or pose they're in. As our lead, Eni Siverets, usually has her ears down, Weaver decided to get some practice in how she would look in one of the rare instances when her ears are up. It come out great, so he decided to make it into a poster. As we get closer to the release of the book, we'll have more to share, so keep an eye out for more updates!
